Why Absentee Voting by Mail?

You may want to request a State Absentee Ballot if you are unable to be present at either the early one-stop absentee voting or on the primary election day of March 15, 2016.

Any registered North Carolina voter can request a mail-in absentee ballot. This type of absentee voting allows a voter or a near relative or legal guardian to request that an absentee ballot be sent to the voter by mail. The voter may vote the ballot and return it to the county board of elections by the ballot return deadline.

Complete and return the form at the following link as soon as possible to ensure your ballot is promptly tendered to you. Be sure that you inform others that this option is available and if possible assist them with the completion of the form.

*** Remember One-Stop Absentee Voting may be another option for you if you are unable to vote on March 15, 2016.
